| I purchased my steer in November. I am planning on raising him and showing him at the Washington County Fair in July. Right now my steer weighs around 785 and his goal weight is 1,200 meaning he will need to gain around 3 pounds each day to make the goal weight. After I show him at the fair, I will then sell him at the auction. This part is always the hardest because my steer and I make a connection and form a bond and it is hard to say goodbye. Raising and showing steers has been something that I have become very passionate about even since I started the process my freshman year. |
