Cost of Tuition	The cost of tuition is between 10-25 thousand dollars. Info – SIU Automotive Technology
Course Term	It takes about 2-4 years depending on classes. Program Info – SIU Automotive Technology
What is Automotive technology?	Automotive technology is the study and application of designing, developing, and maintaining vehicles, including cars, trucks, buses , and other motorized transportation systems. It combines mechanical, electrical, and software engineering to create vehicles that are efficient, reliable, and safe. This field covers every aspect of the automotive world, from the initial design and manufacturing process to diagnostics, repair, and ongoing innovation.
Why this career?	With growing up around cars and four-wheelers all I ever did was work on them and eventually I started to get the hang of it. So, the reason for picking this career is because it's a field I'm comfortable with and confident.
What's the plan for out of school?	The plan for when out of school is to, hopefully secure a job in a workshop working on cars or trucks.
Short term goals	The short-term goal is to secure a job in an automotive shop, hopefully a diesel truck shop since their fairly good when it comes to pay.
Long term goals	The long term goal is too eventually open up my own business building custom cars and vehicles
Overview	A lot can change in a few months so this career isn't set in stone I'm still touring colleges and trade schools and haven't fully decided where I would like to go or what I would like to do.
